Time for our annual BBQ!

Please come and join your neighbors at our annual Crane Neck Beach BBQ! This year it will be held on Saturday the 26th of July, with a rain date of Sunday the 27th. There will be hamburgers, hotdogs and drinks, the cost is $10 per person or $25 per family. Please bring a side dish or a dessert and RSVP to Mary Harrington.

Spring is here!

What a long, hard winter that was. But spring is finally here and it is time to think about all the fun we will have this summer. The 2014 Crane Neck Beach clean up will be on Saturday May 3rd, from 10 am until noon, unless it rains. Our rain date is Saturday May 10th, again from 10 am until noon. Please come along and help tidy our beautiful beach. Trash bags and cold drinks will be provided.

Fishing permit applications will be sent out early next week. Fishing permits are for fishermen ( and fisher women!) who are not members of our neighborhood association but who wish to fish on our beach. Any Crane Neck Association member can sponsor someone who would like to purchase a permit. Fishing permits cost $75 plus a $10 processing fee – that $10 fee is waived for fishers who come to help out with our beach clean up.

Summer Fun

Thank you so much to everyone who came down to the beach today to make 2013’s Crane Neck BBQ such a huge success!

Beach BBQ, 2013The weather was perfect, the food and drink plentiful,

The grillmaster at workand best of all there were no jellyfish. Though it did seem that a visiting fisherman had left a baby sand shark on the beach for us to admire.

The unexpected guestA good time was had by all, even Crane Neck’s newest resident, little Christopher David, who celebrated being one and a half weeks old by coming to his first beach party.

Beach Cleanup

Today’s beach cleanup was a huge success. Thanks are due to organizer Marisela Staller and to everyone who showed up to help tidy our beautiful neighborhood beach. The beach roses were particularly lovely today, especially so without all that rubbish!
